Anaphylaxis Management
Knight Street Children’s Centre is a “nut free” centre. All meals are prepared using ingredients with no traces of nuts. Our staff check all food items brought from home and remove any which are found to contain traces of nuts.
Anaphylaxis is a potentially life-threatening type of allergic reaction commonly caused by food allergies or insect bites/stings.
- Parents are asked to list all children’s allergies on the child’s enrolment form.
- Parents are asked to keep staff updated with any changes in their child’s allergy status.
- All staff have attended accredited anaphylaxis management training.
