The Sunshine Room
The Sunshine Room (toddlers room) caters for 20 children aged between 2 and 3½ years of age.
The room has 3 staff members, who are kept active in this very busy and stimulating room.
In this room the children learn new skills, such as sharing, turn taking and playing in an appropriate manner with the other children.
By taking a wide variety of observations on each child, and information gained from parents, activities are planned to develop skills in the following areas;
- Language;
- social/emotional;
- fine and gross motor;
- cognitive;
- problem solving; and
- self help and independence skills.
Children in this room are beginning to think and reason through their actions, and are developing a sense of self and independence.
